Freshman pitchers Payton Burnham and Lexi King combined for a shutout and the Arkansas softball team blanked Central Arkansas 7-0 on Tuesday evening in Conway.
It was the 10th time the No. 10 Razorbacks (32-9) have held an opponent scoreless this season. Arkansas completed a home-and-away season sweep of the Bears, backing up a 6-3 win March 18 in Fayetteville.
UCA (20-24) lost twice to Arkansas in a season for the first time since 2022, and the Razorbacks improved to 6-2 in the all-time series.
Burnham (10-2) struck out 9 and gave up 3 hits and 1 walk in her 94-pitch, 6-inning outing, and King shut the door by stranding runners at the corners in the seventh.
