New Report Sharpens Outlook for Arkansas’ 2026 Quarterback Room Beyond KJ Jackson

Arkansas will have a new starting quarterback to usher in the Ryan Silverfield era in 2026.

With Taylen Green out of eligibility, rising redshirt sophomore KJ Jackson is presumably next in line for the Razorbacks — especially after showing promise over the final two games of the year.

There was naturally some question about whether he would return to Arkansas after the coaching change, but Jackson erased any doubt at Silverfield’s introductory press conference last week by telling the assembled media that he was “all in.”

“I grew up dreaming of being an SEC quarterback, so those past two games, being able to get out there and play against the SEC competition was a lot of fun,” Jackson said afterward.
