FAYETTEVILLE — New Mexico State transfer receiver Donovan Faupel visited Arkansas and didn’t have high expectations, but he left thinking differently and committed to the Razorbacks on Thursday.

Faupel, 6-1 and 195 pounds, made an official visit to UCLA before traveling to Fayetteville for his visit that ended Thursday.

He was greeted by receivers coach Larry Smith and assistant receivers coach Aaron Odom as he arrived, and as the trip went on, he knew he wanted to be a Razorback.

“I really got a good feel for Arkansas,” Faupel said. “Never been to Arkansas before. Obviously I’m from California, so it was a little bit different.
