Razorback fans finally got what they have been yearning for on Monday night, as Arkansas basketball opened the 2025-26 regular season with a blowout win over Southern.
It’s only November, but the Hoop Hogs had the look of a cohesive team hitting the ground running – mostly thanks to the host of returning talent populating the squad. Arkansas basketball coach John Calipari has credited that retention for the team being much better than it was at this point last year.
This year’s squad has a good mix of returning production, young talent and experienced transfers. One of these portal pieces has acclimated quickly in the Razorback frontcourt thanks to the way he’s gravitated towards Calipari’s coaching style.
