FAYETTEVILLE — Less than 24 hours after agreeing to become Arkansas football’s next head coach, Ryan Silverfield is on the recruiting trail in more ways than one.
Silverfield and his staff have a tall task ahead of them with the early signing period for high school players beginning Wednesday. It’s a short turnaround for a new coach to start building a staff and recruiting young talent.
Silverfield is also trying to recruit players from Arkansas’ existing roster to stay on his team, and he’s trying to win over some skeptical Razorback fans.
To that end, Silverfield made multiple radio appearances Monday morning to outline his vision for the program.
