Mitchell contract worth $310,000

FAYETTEVILLE — New Arkansas running backs coach Reggie Mitchell will be the program's fifth-highest paid assistant coach.

Mitchell signed a letter of agreement last Friday that calls for him to make $310,000 per year. That is the same amount his predecessor, Jemal Singleton, was under contract to make.

Like most position coaches, Mitchell will work on a seasonal contract that expires in June 2017. The contract includes a no-compete clause with other SEC programs, excluding a head coaching or offensive coordinator position.

Mitchell would owe Arkansas $100,000 if he leaves for a non-head coach or coordinator job before Feb.
