Arkansas basketball’s 93-56 blowout over Central Arkansas featured Arkansas hitting 13 three pointers at a nearly nearly 40% clip and some salty defense against an undersized Bears squad, but the numbers are also lipstick on half a pig to an extent.
Arkansas slept walked through large parts of the first half, turning the ball over twice as many times (6) as the Bears (3), and the true freshman duo of Darius Acuff Jr. and Meleek Thomas combined to shoot just 5 of 16 in the first half. It didn’t help that Arkansas allowed a four-point play in the final minute.
