Longtime FCS coach Rob Ash added to Arkansas staff

Arkansas announced Thursday that that it has hired Rob Ash, who had been Montana State’s coach for the past nine seasons, as an offensive analyst.

Ash, who turns 65 next month, was 70-38 at Montana State, and he took the Bobcats to the FCS playoffs four times. He was let go after the 2015 season, following a 5-6 mark – his first losing record at the school.

Before his time at Montana State, Ash spent 18 years as the coach at Drake.

“We are very excited to add another quality coach with head-coaching experience to our program,” Hogs coach Bret Bielema said in a statement.
