FAYETTEVILLE — Little Rock transfer right-handed pitcher Jackson Wells committed to the Arkansas baseball team Wednesday.
Wells, a Rogers native who played his freshman season at UA-Rich Mountain in Mena before playing the 2023-25 seasons with the Trojans, is the Razorbacks’ first transfer commitment this offseason.
He recorded a 5.36 ERA in a team-high 87 1/3 innings pitched for Little Rock this season. Opponents batted .279 against Wells, who struck out 97 and had 35 walks.
Wells was the 2023 Ohio Valley Conference pitcher of the year and an All-American as a sophomore in 2023. He struck out 80 and walked 32 in 93 innings that season, and twice pitched complete games.
