FAYETTEVILLE — Since taking over as the Arkansas football team’s interim head coach following Sam Pittman's firing last week, Bobby Petrino has kept one mantra at the top of his mind.
“I’ve really tried to focus on, ‘Let's just get better today,’” Petrino said during a news conference Monday. “Let's make this a place where the players like to come in, feel good about themselves, work hard about themselves and understand that they need to earn it.”
The 64-year-old coach has his work cut out for him with a Razorbacks (2-3, 0-1 SEC) team that has struggled mightily on defense and shown regression on offense, especially in second halves of games.
