In the midst of a miserable 2-10 campaign, young quarterback KJ Jackson provided Arkansas football fans with a small glimmer of hope in his late-season cameos against Texas and Missouri.

Just a month later, however, on the eve of the New Year and the official opening of the transfer portal, the Razorbacks’ quarterback room is looking barren.

Trever Jackson, a Florida State transfer and former Elite 11 finalist, announced his intention to transfer Monday. Grayson Wilson, a former four-star recruit from Central Arkansas Christian and Conway High, followed suit Wednesday afternoon. Wilson did not see the field as a true freshman and Jackson’s only pass attempt for the Hogs was an incompletion.
