FAYETTEVILLE — As a college football receiver at Arkansas, Texas A&M and Kentucky, Jordan Anthony’s dream was to win the Heisman Trophy.
Retired from football and now focusing professionally on track and field at a training facility near Orlando, Anthony’s chances of winning the Heisman are over. But on Thursday the former Arkansas track sprinter could take home a piece of hardware commonly referred to as the Heisman of track and field.
Anthony is one of three finalists for The Bowerman trophy, which is presented annually to the nation’s best college track and field athlete.
