Insiders Put to Rest The Question of Silverfield Interest + More on UA Coach Candidates

Given two months to prepare for the Thanksgiving feast that is a new coach, Arkansas football fans have devoured any and every morsel of information throughout the still-ongoing search.

As we inch closer to the end of November, that hunger is only growing stronger, so it’s understandable that some were so easily sucked into the Ryan Silverfield news last week.

There were tweets from “reputable” journalists and even a video of the Memphis head coach talking about why he was leaving to lead the Razorbacks. The only problem? It was all fake.

A keen eye would have noticed that the “reports” were from Tulane fan accounts with low follower counts posing as well-known journalists — likely in an effort to create a distraction ahead of the massive Tulane-Memphis game — and the video was pretty clearly AI-generated.
