In year of the sophomore, McLeod was Hogs' best

FAYETTEVILLE — Add another sophomore to the list of Arkansas greats fans won't get the chance to see again.

In a year which Bobby Portis and Andrew Benintendi were first-round picks in their respective sports' drafts, hurdler Omar McLeod announced over the weekend he won't be returning to the Razorbacks. The 21-year-old Jamaican is turning pro and plans to sign with Nike ahead of the World Championships in Beijing.

With all respect to Portis and Benintendi, it wouldn't surprise to see McLeod have the most success out of the Razorbacks' early entries into the pro ranks. He was almost unbeatable in college, winning three individual national championships and another as a member of the Razorbacks' 400 relay team.
