In return game, Taleyah Jones wastes no time boosting Arkansas women’s basketball

FAYETTEVILLE — For the first time in more than three years, Arkansas women’s basketball coach Kelsi Musick recently had to navigate leading her team without Taleyah Jones in the mix.

Jones, who played two seasons at Oral Roberts under Musick before following her coach to Fayetteville, was unavailable for back-to-back games against Jackson State and at Missouri State due to concussion protocol. Her injury was sustained during a 78-63 loss at SMU on Dec. 4.

Losing its leading scorer was a big blow for Arkansas, and there was some uneasiness as to how the team would function without her.
