Everyone’s talking about the same names when it comes to the Arkansas football coaching search.
There are the hot mid-major guys like Memphis’ Ryan Silverfield and USF’s Alex Golesh, and of course, the coveted James Franklin. To make things interesting, there’s even been rumored contact with an NFL coordinator in Kliff Kingsbury, according to Hogville’s Otis Kirk.
That makes sense given his six-year stint as the head coach at Texas Tech, where he famously coached Patrick Mahomes — albeit while never winning more than eight games in a season.
But there’s one name that keeps getting left out of the conversation, and it’s wild, because he’s not a retread or a risk.
