Looking back at it, 2022 might have been the high point for his tenure as Arkansas athletics director. Sam Pittman was coming off of what may turn out to be his best season as the Hogs’ football coach, Eric Musselman was taking the basketball team to its second straight Elite Eight and Dave Van Horn had the baseball team rolling deep into the College World Series.
Success on and off the field across the board for Arkansas athletics were a big reason Yurachek was chosen as one of the four national ADs of the year by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.
