FAYETTEVILLE — Two numbers in Arkansas football history have been retired.
On Saturday, another number — albeit not retired — joined Brandon Burlsworth's 77 and Clyde Scott's 12 on the south end zone videoboard at Reynolds Razorback Stadium: Darren McFadden's No. 5.
The athletics department announced in July that McFadden's number would be honored, not retired, and a patch would be added to both the offensive and defensive No. 5 jerseys. The patch features the silhouette of McFadden running and his initials, D.M.
This season, the patch is worn by defensive tackle Cam Ball and wide receiver Ja'Kayden Ferguson.
