FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas is one win from the College World Series.
The Razorbacks beat Missouri State 18-4 Friday to win the first game of the NCAA super regional in front of a Baum Stadium record 11,869 fans.
Arkansas will go for the series win Saturday at 1 p.m.
Andrew Benintendi and Joe Serrano hit home runs during a six-run sixth inning that broke the game open for the Razorbacks (39-22). Arkansas chased Missouri State starter Jon Harris in the inning in which the Razorbacks sent nine batters to the plate.
Harris, a right-hander projected to be a first-round MLB Draft pick next week, gave up eight runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings.
