Hogs Make Farce of “SEC Pitcher of the Year” Label While Roughing Up Vols in Game 2

FAYETTEVILLE — Looking back on it, Dave Van Horn might have had a feeling about what was coming in the second game of the Arkansas vs Tennessee series.

After the No. 8 Razorbacks dropped the opener Thursday night, things looked pretty dire because the No. 17 Volunteers had ace Liam Doyle waiting in the wings for Game 2.

However, despite the presumptive SEC Pitcher of the Year having a chance to give Tennessee a much-needed series victory the following day, Van Horn didn’t seem worried.

“He’s pretty good, isn’t he?” the veteran coach said with a wry smile when asked about the daunting matchup following Thursday’s loss.
