Junior college All American cornerback Joseph Putu has committed to Arkansas.
Putu, 6-2, 195, 4.37 seconds in the 40-yard dash of North Dakota State College of Science picked the Hogs over scholarship offers from Alabama-Birmingham, Toledo, North Texas, Tennessee State and strong interest from Florida, Texas A&M and UCLA.
Puto, who played high school football at Providence (R.I.) Mount Pleasant High School, earned second-team All-America honors after intercepting 10 passes this season.
