Arkansas shortstop Wehiwa Aloy came to Fayetteville after a promising season at Sacramento State that saw him smash 14 home runs en route to a Freshman All-American nod. The Hawaiian’s two years with the Razorbacks saw him realize every bit of his potential, culminating in the slugging shortstop taking home the Golden Spikes Award this season.
The Diamond Hogs’ latest transfer addition has shown great potential at the mid-major level, as well – and he might just have what it takes to admirably fill in as Aloy’s successor at shortstop. Arkansas baseball coach Dave Van Horn landed a commitment from Ball State’s Dylan Grego on Tuesday afternoon.
