Arkansas men’s track and field athletes advanced to finals in five events and a Razorback medaled Wednesday on the first day of the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore.
Day 1 of the national meet primarily featured men’s track semifinals and some field finals. The men’s team will conclude competition Friday.
Henry Kiner became Arkansas’ first points-scorer with his bronze medal finish in the long jump. His mark of 26 feet, 1 1/2 inches was a season best and gave the Razorbacks 6 points.
Arkansas competed in one other final Wednesday, the 10,000 meters.
