Hasz’s Latest Injury Puts Him on Similarly Ill-Fated Career Arc as Another Beloved Ex-Hog

One of the biggest stories of the offseason for Arkansas football was the exodus of key Razorback players heading to Ole Miss through the transfer portal.

Among a group of 41 outgoing players, tight end Luke Hasz, offensive guard Patrick Kutas and cornerback Jaylon Braxton all transferred to Ole Miss. Braxton was Arkansas’ best defensive back entering last season, but missed all of SEC play with a leg injury.

Kutas dealt with a lingering back injury and didn’t appear in a game until late October. He made a handshake deal with Arkansas football coach Sam Pittman, sitting out the Louisiana Tech game in November to ensure he could redshirt and keep an extra year of eligibility.
