Hall of Fame class covers sports spectrum

Never has there been a more diversified group of inductees into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame.

Tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. at the Statehouse Convention Center, 11 inductees from eight different sports will be honored.

Greg Koch, Barry Lunney Sr., Fred Marshall and Bill Phillips represent football, with Koch and Marshall from the University of Arkansas, Lunney a decorated high school coach, and Phillips from Arkansas State.

A.J. Burnett was a Major League Baseball pitcher for 17 years.

Bill Davis was one of the most successful car owners in the world of auto racing.

Paula Juels Jones is a longtime tennis player, was an All-American at Tennessee and has enough trophies to fill a nice-sized warehouse.
