FAYETTEVILLE -- Everyone tried to make his move into the lead during the men's 3,000 meters Saturday afternoon, but Alex George decided to save his best one for last.
The Arkansas sophomore found a way to catch Oregon's Jake Leingang and passed him on the final stretch to earn a victory during the Razorback Invitational at the Randal Tyson Track Center. George, a native of Gloucester, Great Britain, had a time of 8 minutes, 9.79 seconds, while Leingang, also a sophomore, finished in 8:10.11.
