Gaudy Scoreline Masks “Nasty,” “Terrible” Concern for Hogs With Tougher Tests Ahead

The long wait for college football finally ended for Arkansas fans, as the Razorbacks took care of business with a 52-7 blowout of Alabama A&M in a season-opening tuneup game.

Taylen Green came out slinging in his much-anticipated senior debut, completing 24 of his 31 passes (77%) for 322 yards and six touchdowns with no turnovers. He tied Brandon Allen for the second-most passing touchdowns in a single game in program history. O’Mega Blake led the way with seven catches for 121 yards and a touchdown, but five other pass-catchers also found the end zone.

The Razorbacks also supplied some inadvertent special teams fireworks at the tail end of the first half when punter Devin Bale’s squib kick ricocheted off an Alabama A&M player in the front row of the return team.
