Arkansas right-handed pitcher Gage Wood has heard his name called in the 2025 MLB draft. The Philadelphia Phillies picked the Batesville, Ark. native in the first round as the 26th overall pick.

Wood finished his career with the Razorbacks, throwing for a 3.82 ERA in 37.2 innings. Opponents averaged .194 at the plate against the righty. His whiff rate at the end of the season led all pitchers at 43.2 percent.
By far the biggest achievement for Wood was his historic no-hitter against Murray State in this year's College World Series.
