Franklin's season-ending injury ends Holmes career

FAYETTEVILLE — Because of an injury suffered in his season opener last Thursday night, Arkansas 2019 basketball recruiting target Javon Franklin will not play at Goodman (Miss.) Holmes Community College the rest of 2018-2019 campaign.

Holmes head coach Jason Flanigan said Wednesday that Franklin (6-6, 200) will concentrate solely on his rehab from a broken bone in his leg and thus have three years at his next stop.

“He is out of the hospital and back on campus and the surgery went well,” Flanigan said of his fellow former Little Rock Parkview standout. “It is anywhere from a 6-12 week rehab, but he will not play in a Holmes jersey again.
