FAYETTEVILLE — Former Arkansas shortstop Wehiwa Aloy formally signed a contract with the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday.
Aloy, the No. 31 overall pick in the MLB Draft, signed for the full slot value of his pick at $3,042,800, according to MLB.com senior writer Jim Callis.
Aloy became the third Razorback to win the Golden Spikes Award and was a consensus All-American and the SEC player of the year after batting .350 with a team-high 21 home runs and 68 RBI for the Razorbacks this year.
