MEMPHIS — The Arkansas football team last played Memphis (3-0) in October 1998, almost 27 years ago.
However, the Razorbacks (2-1) are familiar with Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium and the city, having won the Liberty Bowl there in late December after the 2022 and 2024 seasons.
Their return trip will be much warmer with the temperature forecast in the low 80s for the 11 a.m. Central kickoff before reaching 90 degrees by 2 p.m. Saturday. Memphis Coach Ryan Silverfield extended a helping hand to Arkansas Coach Sam Pittman during the past two neutral visits. Since 1995, the Razorbacks are a perfect 6-0 in the city.
