Despite iffy starts in all three games, Arkansas managed to beat Tennessee twice and cement a second-place finish in the SEC.
It was a rather remarkable task with ace Zach Root, closer-turned-starter Aiden Jimenez and a healthy Gage Wood combining for just 9 total innings while surrendering 21 hits and 10 earned runs. Not ideal.
As the Razorbacks head to Hoover, Ala., for the SEC Tournament, though, that remains the one glaring issue they must get squared away before the tournament that actually matters.
Arkansas may be one of the only teams in the country that could win a series against a hard-hitting team like Tennessee with that kind of performance from the starting pitchers.
