OMAHA, Neb. — Kade Anderson likely made himself a lot of money at Arkansas’ expense Saturday night.
The LSU ace carved up what had been arguably the best and deepest lineup in the country, leading the No. 6 Tigers to a critical 4-1 win over the No. 3 Razorbacks in their opening game at the College World Series.
Arkansas mustered just 3 hits and 2 walks in 7-plus innings against the lefty, bolstering his already strong case to be the first college pitcher taken in next month’s MLB Draft.
“He’s got tremendous stuff,” LSU baseball coach Jay Johnson said.
