D.J. Wagner's shot might have secured Arkansas basketball's NCAA Tournament fate

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Arkansas men’s basketball team hadn’t hit a shot in 11 minutes and 41 seconds.

Billy Richmond hit a baseline jumper at the 14:18 mark of the second half and the Razorbacks then simply stopped scoring. A once-comfortable 20-point lead had dissipated to 61-60, with last-placed South Carolina looking like it would storm back to secure a season sweep of the Razorbacks.

Arkansas needed an answer — any answer — coming out of the final media timeout.
