Though fingers of blame could be pointed in a multitude of directions, the Arkansas basketball team’s 95-73 loss at Auburn seemingly boiled down to one overarching theme. The two squads played with different levels of urgency Saturday night at Neville Arena.
The 15th-ranked Razorbacks (12-4, 2-1 SEC) looked like a team that figured the success from recent wins against No. 21 Tennessee and Ole Miss would automatically translate to another conference victory. On the other hand, Auburn fought like a team that knew it must win.
“They played desperate today,” Arkansas coach John Calipari said of the Tigers.
