Courtney, 6-6, 210 pounds, was told of the offer during a conference call with Arkansas coach Sam Pittman, tight ends coach Jon Cooper and linebackers coach Rion Rhoades on Tuesday morning.
“You grow up your whole life in Arkansas hoping for that Razorback offer and to finally get it it’s exciting definitely,” Courtney said.
The coaches focused on being him an in-state recruit.
“They gave their in-state recruiting spiel,” Courtney said. “Saying you grow up in Arkansas wanting to play for the Razorbacks, which is true.
