Defensive tackle Cam McGee reopens recruitment from Arkansas football

FAYETTEVILLE— Defensive tackle and Arkansas commitment Cam McGee announced he has reopened his recruitment Saturday.

McGee, 6-3 and 320 pounds, of Loganville (Ga.) Grayson, chose the Razorbacks over offers from Georgia, South Florida, Michigan, Auburn, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Southern Cal, Miami, LSU, Missouri, Mississippi State, Purdue and others on June 15.

He made an official visit to Fayetteville during the June 6-8 weekend.

Arkansas coach Sam Pittman was fired Sunday, and defensive coordinator Travis Williams, co-defensive coordinator Marcus Woodson and defensive line coach Deke Adams were dismissed Monday. Adams was McGee’s lead recruiter.

McGee is the eighth commitment to reopen his recruitment since the four Razorback coaches were fired.
