FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas defensive back Jarques McClellion has opted out of the 2020 football season.
In a message posted to his Twitter account Thursday afternoon, McClellion cited growing health concerns and added that he has been in quarantine twice since returning to campus on June 1.
He also noted that he watched his mother “fight for her life” on a ventilator last year during the birth of his little sister.
“This has really hit home for me and my family being quarantined twice,” McClellion wrote. “I wish my university all the best this football season.”
