The Fountain Lake boys basketball team picked up a huge win over the No. 1-ranked 4A team in the Mills Comets in the second game of a back-to-back.
After a heartbreaking loss at home Monday to the Comets, the Cobras went into Little Rock and got a taste of revenge with a 55-50 victory. Senior guard Dillon Dettmering once again led the team in scoring with 32 points. He also surpassed 2,000 career points in the contest. Senior guard Landen Clem also added 10 points on three made threes and senior forward Jordan Giles scored 6 points.
"I think our zone defense was effective again tonight and helped limit Mills from getting to the rim," head coach Jake Dettmering said.
