OMAHA, Neb. — Coastal Carolina won its 26th consecutive game and advanced to the national championship series with an 11-3 victory over Louisville on Wednesday at the College World Series.
The Chanticleers (56-11) will play either LSU or Arkansas in the championship series that is scheduled to begin Saturday. The Razorbacks and the Tigers are scheduled to play Wednesday night in the other national semifinal.
Arkansas (50-14) must beat LSU (50-15) on Wednesday and Thursday to advance. LSU can advance by winning once.
Coastal Carolina is in the championship round for the second time in less than a decade.
