Cam Ball’s More Short-Term, More Serious Problem Is Better News for Arkansas

If you’ve been fortunate enough to avoid watching Arkansas football attempt to play defense this fall, you can count yourself as lucky.

The Razorbacks have been horrific on that side of the ball, and that might be putting things kindly. Arkansas ranks a woeful 121st out of 136 FBS teams in scoring defense, allowing 32.7 points per game. That’s not only the worst mark in the SEC, but the fourth-worst in the entire Power Four. The Hogs are 126th in total defense, giving up 443.9 yards per game – only Oklahoma State has been worse out of P4 teams.
