Don’t act like you aren’t thinking about it, Arkansas fans. After all, the whole SEC should be salivating over Auburn’s roster following Bruce Pearl’s sudden retirement on Monday.
Sure, it’s a long shot. Perhaps it’s also unnecessary. But don’t pretend you haven’t at least thought of the prospect of All-American candidate Tahaad Pettiford donning cardinal and white this spring.
Pearl’s retirement creates a 30-day transfer window for Auburn players. That at least leaves the door open for Pettiford to consider joining the raft of coaches who are sure to be reaching out to him soon.
