Nobody in Arkansas softball program history has hit more home runs in a season than Bri Ellis.

Ellis, a senior first baseman from Houston, hit her 26th homer of the season Wednesday against Georgia to break the program record at the SEC Tournament in Athens, Ga.

The record-setting home run was a walk-off grand slam that lifted No. 6 Arkansas (39-11, 15-10 SEC) over Georgia (31-20, 7-16) in the second round of the tournament.

Her blast surpassed the previous record of 25 hit by Braxton Burnside in 2021.

It tied the SEC season record, matching 26 home runs by both Bailey Hemphill (Alabama) and Mia Davidson (Mississippi State) in 2019.
