Brey Cook Sees a Lot of Petrino In His Former Memphis Boss As He Enters a New Field

Former Razorback offensive lineman Brey Cook is about as Arkansas as they come.

The Springdale native played his high school ball at Har-Ber, working his way up to four-star status. He was the top prospect in the state of Arkansas in the Class of 2011, and elected to stay at home and sign with the Razorbacks and play under Bobby Petrino.

Cook started 30 games across four seasons (under three different head coaches) with the Hogs, helping anchor the offensive line through a tumultuous period. After a brief stint in the NFL as an undrafted free agent signing with Washington, the big fella returned to Fayetteville in 2016, spending two seasons as a graduate assistant under Bielema working with the offensive line.
