Replacing Rawleigh Williams III won’t be easy for Arkansas, but the order of running backs who’ll try to do so is starting to take shape. Bret Bielema said he lists Devwah Whaley, David Williams and Chase Hayden as “1A, 1B and 1C” on the depth chart, as reported by Bo Mattingly:
Bielema: Was working on a travel roster, and I wrote the running backs as 1A, 1B and 1C (Whaley, D. Williams, Hayden).

While designating Whaley as “1A” is no surprise – after all, the sophomore is the Razorbacks’ top returning rusher with 602 yards last season – the announcement seems to indicate that the gap between him to the second and third backs may not be huge.
