FAYETTEVILLE — Bonnie Deas dished out 7 assists Wednesday night in the Arkansas women's basketball team's 92-77 win against Missouri-Kansas City, but only 1 came while she was sitting on the court.
UMKC had rallied from a 17-point halftime deficit by going on a 13-2 run to start the third quarter. The run shrunk a 53-36 Arkansas lead to 55-49.
On a missed Arkansas shot, Deas slashed into a pack of UMKC players in the lane and grabbed the loose ball before falling to the floor. She flipped a short pass to Maria Anais Rodriguez under the basket and Rodriguez hit the layup, a play that sparked the Razorbacks.
