FAYETTEVILLE — This time last year, Courtney Day didn’t know if she would play college softball again.
One year later, Day, the Arkansas softball team’s steady utility player, delivered one of the biggest hits in program history.
Day hit a walk-off RBI single in the eighth inning to complete a 6-5 comeback victory over Oklahoma State at the NCAA Fayetteville Regional.
It was the finishing touch on Arkansas' rally to overcome a 5-1 deficit over the final 3 innings.
“I wanted it to be me,” Day said. “I wanted to have that moment and to do it for my team.
