Bobby Petrino Breaks From Sabbath Consensus With Practice Schedule Tweak

FAYETTEVILLE — In two weeks on the job, interim head coach Bobby Petrino has firmly put his fingerprints on the Arkansas football program.

The 64-year-old returned to the sideline for the Razorbacks’ 34-31 loss to Tennessee on Saturday and showed some of the fire fans remember from his days leading the team from 2008-11.

That came after a bye week in which his first act since replacing Sam Pittman was to fire defensive coordinator Travis Williams and two other defensive assistants.

It’s safe to say Petrino is not letting his 7-game, second-chance audition slip through his fingers without giving it his best shot to land the full-time job beyond 2025.
