AUBURN, Ala. — Billy Richmond was the final player on the floor at The Sandy and John Black Pavilion floor Wednesday night.
His teammates jogged to the locker room following pregame warmups. Yet there stayed Richmond, standing just beyond halfcourt with his eyes fixated on the basket some 50-or-so feet away.
Richmond is an ever-present, ever-confident fixture for the No. 15 Arkansas men’s basketball team. He dives to save every loose ball. He fights for every rebound. He has never seen a challenge he won’t charge headstrong into; never one to lack enthusiasm for a task ahead.
