It’s rare for a team to host its homecoming game before the season even starts, but that’s what the theme will be for Arkansas’ exhibition clash with Memphis in the FedEx Forum on Monday night.
Arkansas basketball coach John Calipari will get the chance to reunite with a number of his former players from his days coaching the Tigers. Across a nine-year tenure as the Memphis head coach, Calipari won four conference titles and reached four Sweet 16s, three Elite Eights and one national title game before moving to Kentucky.
It will also be a return home for two Memphis natives on the Arkansas roster, reserve guard Ayden Kelley and sophomore swingman Billy Richmond III.
